The first floor was the area of the private family life of the Jeannerets.
Jeanneret finally never achieved the window that was forseen in the wooden stairway up to the first floor. The blue colour has been restored
The tiled floor and the built-in cupboard in the hallway are original.
The structure of the 1st floor is the same as the ground floor, with four pillars and its strong longitudinal axis, but the distribution of spaces is slightly different.
In the Atelier (of Charles-Edouard Jeanneret), the overheight ceiling and its glass panel are original; plans reproductions of the house are on the wall and a model is in a showcase; documents and artefacts of the restoration works are shown in the other showcase.
The colour of the walls and the ceiling lamp of the Yellow Room are reconstituted; the sofa, the armchairs and the table are from Chs-Ed. Jeanneret.
The Sleeping room is as wide as the living room situated below and its row of windows are separated by reinforced concrete columns moulded in situ; the bathroom is reconstituated.
The loggia opens to the west and offers a magnificent view on the “Chambre d’été”. The tiled flor is original, the reconstituted ceiling is in Eternit (fibercement) and the windows were meant to be removable.
